For Yuri Gordon’s map “The Master and Moscow” I gathered Bulgakov’s and Mandelstam’s Moscow topography with AI — and then checked it. Here are three layers of that check on one schematic: the chase after Woland, the novel’s addresses and Mandelstam’s Moscow. Gold is what was confirmed, red is what the AI invented or got wrong. Hover over a point to open a card with the quotation. This map exists nowhere else: I built it for the portfolio from the research materials and checked every quotation again.
The schematic of central Moscow is drawn from OpenStreetMap open data and simplified. Quotations are our literal translations from the Russian originals.

Each card is one mistake from the research and the fact-check. Struck through is the AI’s version; below is what checking against the text and sources showed.
Yuri Gordon’s map
The schematic above is mine, drawn from open data. The map “The Master and Moscow” itself is Yuri Gordon’s work: the drawing, the Fagot and Azazello typefaces, two Masters and seven trams.
